Captain Flint is a mechanized puppet that needed to be lightweight, durable, and easy to operate for a youth performer.  He also needed to stretch his wings, flap, and speak. I went through several prototypes before finding the compromise between functionality and aesthetics with this version which appeared in a production of Treasure Island at Georgetown Little Theatre.
