The Painulator is a weapon of torture in the short film, The Adventures of Dash Cloudrider: In Galdrar’s Grip. For this complex and creepy build, materials were largely sourced second-hand and assembled methodically and painstakingly to fit it all together – and test the mechanical operation of the claws. This prop has several moving parts, including spinning fangs, and the large claws. It is also fitted with internal lighting to illuminate the “spider eye” dome for added effect.
